The PeopleLink Video Conference Solution (PVCS): The MCU Architecture has the Master /Slave type and have deploying capability in such a way that the central location MCU and Multiple Slave MCU's deployed at regional locations can be linked with each other for Full VIDEO Conference Ports sharing, Redundency and Bandwidth Optimisation. Each MCU (MCU at central location and MCU at regional unit locations ) has the capability to use Video Conference ports available at the Local MCU and also all the Video Conference ports available at all the other MCU's by logging into the Local MCU itself and not choking the bandwidth at central location for regional level conferences.The MCU architecture is such that in case Master MCU is down any of the Slave MCU's can become master and still all Slave MCU resources can be shared by all MCU's. In case required Each Slave MCU should be able to work as a stand alone Master MCU without sharing resources.

The Hot standby module is a software module which can be used to keep the Master server up and running in case the Master server fails. This module in combination with with 2 hardware servers and 3 IP address ensures a fail proof solution. Server software is loaded on both the machines and both the machines are given one dedicated IP Address and both the machines are also given one Floating IP address which is configurable using the Hotstandby Module. All particpiants always login into the FLOATING IP ADDRESS , In case one of the server fails with a intelligent auto reconnect feature all participants are again logged in automatically within few seconds into same FLOATING IP adrress which this time is automatically mapped to backup Server.
This enables to have a Full HotStadby backup without the need of buying one more MCU and just by enabling a software module and one extra hardware server at a fraction of cost and thus having substantial savings and having very high reliability.
